I’m a morning person.
Folks on the West Coast hate that.
The last two times I offered the full Naming for Newer Namers suite of five foundational classes, I held them all starting at 8 a.m. here in stunning upstate New York.
It’s the best time of day for me: I’m at my most energized, and I can help people think through how the class content applies to the work that they do.
A common piece of feedback is, “I got my money’s worth.”
(It’s sometimes paired with a common about how dense the content is, but, hey, I want to make sure that if you trust me with your time and money, I tell you everything I know.)
But I’ve been getting emails asking when I would offer them later in the day* so folks on the West Coast (or who just aren’t early risers) could join.
And more than once, I’ve had folks pay for the class and then not join live, preferring to “attend” via the recorded Zoom file sent to all attendees after class.
Don’t get me wrong, that has been totally fine! I’m always been happy to answer follow-up questions via email. But those classes were designed to be live—with discussion, with prompts, with questions about how it might be put into practice.
I am thrilled to introduce the first two self-guided classes
I’ve spent the last three months adapting the tried-and-true content of the live classes. It’s broken up into digestible chapters and designed to anticipate the questions that come up in each class.
I’ve also paired them with prompts and exercises to help class takers figure out how the concepts apply to the work they’re doing TODAY (or tomorrow, if they find themselves taking the class at night—you can do that now!).
*I will probably offer a set of live Naming for Newer Namers classes in the evenings again toward the end of the year; they’re just a little harder to fit into my schedule with my Wild Geese Studio work.
The first two classes are available now:
